Highlights from High Point Furniture Market
Moon Interiors had another successful market for the books! We had such a blast browsing the latest products and trends at the fall High Point Market this October.
Transitional is still definitely in and on the rise more than ever. Transitional, the sweet spot between contemporary and traditional, involves clean lines, simplicity, and asymmetrical groupings (instead of traditional symmetry).
This look often involves neutral color palettes which leads us to Benjamin Moore’s color of the year: “First Light”. This pinkish white, aka the “new neutral”, is perfect for adding a bit of flair to a home without overwhelming the color palette.
Truly versatile, this rosey neutral blushed throughout out the various showrooms. We saw it pop up in pillows, lamps, wall paper and paint, upholstery, and even case goods.
Using neutrals like this keeps your rooms timeless. Highlights of bolder colors can be brought in and updated easily as your tastes evolve and new trends arise.
Another trend throughout the showrooms this year was lower coffee tables and seating. Height has definitely dropped a couple inches since previous years. This look also plays nicely into a Transitional home, giving a living room a more relaxed and modern feel.
Not to mention all the stellar lighting we saw! Lighting is incredibly key in making or breaking a room.
